I remember that whole week. We started it off with Thursday, Thanksgiving dinner down in Richfield. We had to get home, no staying down there because on Saturday I had another baby shower to go to. On Saturday I went to Riverton with my family and had a great baby shower. Came home, unloaded all the cute new things I recieved and thought, man there is still a lot to do before the baby gets here. I still needed to wash all his clothes and what not. I thought no big deal, Whitney still had 3 weeks to go right. We the next morning, which was a Sunday, I heard the phone ring and it was LaNae. She said Whitney is in labor and get down her because she was starting to push. The first thing that even came to my mind when I heard the phone ring, thinking it was a Monday morning and my mom was calling me to go work out with her, there was no way I was doing that. I wasn't even sure if I was going to get up to answer the phone...it was way to early for me to be getting out of bed any way. I remember looking at my phone and seeing that it said "Whitney" was calling but thought nothing of it and then when LaNae said get down here it was on. My heart started beating so fast, i got so so excitied, was freaking out and I just kept saying over and over "Oh My." I ran into our bedroom and threw the covers off of Kyle and said OUR BABY IS HERE. He didn't even know what to think. I then ran into the baby's room and got 2 things, a blanket and a bag. The 2 things that LaNae wanted me to bring with us when it was time to come to the hospital, these were some of the things that she gave me at 1 of the baby showers I had. I was still wearing my pajama bottoms, brushed my teeth and threw on a sweatshirt. We jumped in the truck and headed down. We didn't even say 2 words to each other the whole way down to the hosptial. It seemed like the longest ride EVER. We got there and my heart was still beating so hard. We reached the floor of Labor/Delivery and met Whitney's parents. I went into the room with LaNae and we went and sat in the corner. I remember LaNae writing things down, I was looking at the floor and within maybe 10 minutes of sitting down Whitney was done, Kash was born. It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. The room was dark except the little bit of lighting the doctors need to see. I don't know what made it feel like this but it was so peaceful in that room. I waited to see what the doctors would do, what Whitney would do. They put him on that one thing to check him out and everything a then handed him to Whitney, I so wanted to jump right up to her side and hold her hand, I was excitied to see Kash but my mind was thinking more about her. And then she said it, "go see your mom" I got to hold this little tiny baby. It was so weird. I kept thinking should I cry, should I smile, what in the heck kind of emotion should I be having. I looked at him and was in ah. Kyle and Whitney's dad both came in and we got our first family picture.
